Humanity is a puzzle-arcade hybrid in which we take control of crowds of people. The name, which may be associated with the iconic lemmings, is the result of a collaboration between the Japanese studio Enhance, known for such works as Tetris Effect or Rez Infinite, and Tha. Humanity sends us on a journey to the end of the world, which is a kind of prison for people who have lost their sense of purpose. We wake up there in the skin of a Shiba Inu dog, and our goal is to lead the crowd to the pillars of light, which is the last chance to save their minds. It will not be easy to complete this task, because on the way our wards face numerous dangers, led by hostile Others; although tensions between the groups begin to rise over time, there may be a chance to resolve the conflict. During the game, you will have to show not only the ability to plan, but also reflexes and dexterity.

In Humanity, we watch what is happening from a bird’s eye view. During the game, we only take direct control of the dog, and give simple commands to the crowd. By barking, we make the masses jump (often breaking the laws of physics), turn, climb, or, finally, shoot and fight in close combat. Traveling through more than 90 abstract stages, we have to avoid obstacles on the ground, avoid numerous traps and other environmental hazards.

As for the enemies — in addition to hostile factions, on our way from time to time there are bosses, in order to defeat them, it is necessary to find their weak points. The game has a wizard that allows you to create your own maps, puzzles and scenes. We can share our creations with the community. The visuals of Humanity are low poly. Everything is simple, but at the same time colorful and transparent, and the crowds we manage can impress. The title uses virtual reality sets, but they are not required for the game.
