Description

Surviving Mars Space Race is the first major DLC to the town-planning simulator and the Mars colony manager Surviving Mars. Space Race is based on the construction «foundation» of the main game and adds a new competitive piece to it. You will no longer build a cozy colony in isolation — instead, other AI colonies will compete for limited resources, collecting artifacts from the Red Planet, and accomplishing achievements. Despite the fact that there will be direct competition between the colonies, you will be able to trade with rivals, call for help themselves and even steal the most successful colonists. Each colony will be sponsored by a separate corporation.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.
Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.
After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.
Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

Having trouble launching the game?

Check these common causes before troubleshooting further.

The steam_api64.dll and other files from the CODEX folder are the heart of the release — if your antivirus removes them, restore them from quarantine and exclude the game folder.
CODEX releases run fully offline. For safety, block the game .exe in your firewall so it never tries to reach Steam.
Errors about missing d3dx9_43.dll or MSVCP140.dll mean the runtimes were skipped — install everything from the disc's Redist or _CommonRedist folder.
