Your goal is to establish a settlement before the relentless winter destroys your last hope. To achieve this goal, you must carefully explore the map, discovering vital resources, points of interest, and events along the way.

Landnama is based on strategy. Creating a settlement in accordance with the approach you choose becomes a key factor in your survival. You may specialize in hunting, farming, crafting, or trading, but always remember the delicate balance of your heart. In the project, the heart serves as the only resource representing health, morale, and currency.

Unlike other Viking-themed games that focus on combat and plunder, the title takes a different path, offering a unique experience focused on survival, management and decision making. Every action you take has consequences, and you must learn to adapt to the ever-changing seasons and challenges ahead. Although it lacks combat and raiding, the game skillfully creates conflict and tension through the race against time and the impending winter.
