Game trailer: Star Trek Infinite
Screenshots
Description
Star Trek Infinite is a new game based on the popular science fiction series Star Trek. In it, gamers will take control of one of the four main civilizations of the galaxy, explore, colonize and interact with other factions. The action takes place in the period leading up to the era of The Next Generation, when the galactic struggle between the powers of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants reached its peak. Users can play for the Federation, Klingons, Romulans or Cardassians, each of which has its own mission tree and unique abilities. There are many events and sequences based on or referencing the Star Trek franchise, allowing users to create their own story.
Star Trek Infinite also features a ship designer that allows you to create ships based on base models from the franchise. Players can choose different parts and abilities for their ships or rely on the automatic design feature. The project uses many of the mechanics and systems from Paradox Interactive’s Stellaris, another grand space strategy game. The game has received positive reviews in early reviews, with many noting its use of a Star Trek storyline and mission tree system.
