Description

In the future, when mankind has mastered the depths of space, a powerful Federation will be created that controls all aspects of the space program. In the game Ancient Frontier Steel Shadows you have to play the role of apostate Rogan Harker, who dared to challenge the Federation. Most recently, your hero was released from prison, and he happily went to the Frontier in search of his old friends and the opportunity to start a new life.

Unfortunately, the Federation does not favor former prisoners at all, which means that you will not even have a chance to live legally. Your hero will have to become a real pirate and go on a free journey in search of wealth and glory.

About This Game

Unite with the same robbers, like you, attack the rich alliances and take away all the loot. You have the opportunity to purchase new spaceships, upgrade your weapons and create your own base on some distant planet. Complete all story missions, go through many random events and earn the title of the most formidable pirate of the galaxy. You are waiting for dynamic battles, where the outcome of the battle depends not only on your weapons, but also on the skills acquired. Develop your character and explore all the remote corners of the universe.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

  1. Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.

  2. Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.

  3. After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.

  4. Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

    As mentioned in our last patch we looked over all of the player data to see if changes needed to be made. It seemed very clear from the data that there were multiple areas where the experience needed to be improved. Today we bring a large number of balance changes.First off we lowered the difficulty in all sectors but the very first area. The first area we still feel is offering the right level of challenge to introduce players to the game.Secondly, as we recently did for Ancient Frontier, we reduced the number of ships you face in the second half of the game so that portion is less of a grind.Third, we increased the starting resources on both the Beginner and Veteran difficulties.Finally, we made some under the hood changes to make the experience easier on Beginner and Veteran difficulties.
