Game trailer: Still Wakes the Deep
Screenshots
Description
Still Wakes the Deep plunges you into the icy waters of the North Sea, onto a destroyed oil rig. You take control of an electrician, an ordinary guy caught in a nightmare. A monstrous storm or some unprecedented disaster turned the drilling rig into a twisted ruin. Survival becomes your only mission. This is no walk in the park. Forget about shooting the bad guys. Here you will have to rely on your wits and nimble legs. Running, jumping and climbing are your best defenses. The oil rig itself becomes a metal labyrinth infested with invisible threats. Silence hung in the air, broken only by the creaking of the tower and the beating of your heart. It’s a lonely struggle you against the environment and what lurks in the shadows.
The open sea surrounding the rig only adds to the isolation. This horror is not limited to jumps and creepy creatures. The developers rely on the power of suggestion, allowing the desert environment to tell the story. Still Wakes the Deep is set in the 1970s, a time of booming industry, and it adds another layer of chills. This is a chance to explore a bygone era, a time capsule in which man and machine danced a dangerous tango. Every choice you make, every path you take reveals another part of the mystery. Are you ready to face the secrets that the drilling rig holds?

Good day, our dear and wonderful player community. It may be the holiday season, but your shift isn\'t over – Cadal is tempting the staff back to the Beira D with promises of gold, frankincense... and Muir. A free update for the game is available now - we added a new Silver Screen visual mode, and a Chapter Select option to jump into the story wherever you please. Silver Screen mode allows you, the players, to immerse yourselves into the game in a stark monochrome, providing an even more cinematic atmosphere. See the Beira D in a new light as you fight to survive on the collapsing rig – no yellow paint in sight. Silver Screen mode can be toggled at any time from the Video section of the Settings menu. Also new to Still Wakes the Deep is Chapter Select, allowing you to relive your favourite moments of the game whenever you choose. The game has been separated into 23 scenes, allowing you to experience memorable scenes – such as Caz\'s standoff with Rennick at the start of the game, or the eerily beautiful elevator ride through the pontoons – whenever you like. Chapter Select is available from the main menu. We really hope you enjoy these and get excited about Still Wakes the Deep all over again. Since launch, Still Wakes the Deep has received numerous accolades, including being named one of The New York Times\' Best Video Games of 2024, a nomination for Best Supporting Performance at the Golden Joystick Awards 2024, and winning two TIGA Awards for Best Audio Design and Heritage in Games. We also received a whooping 9 nominations at this year\'s Horror Game Awards. It\'s been quite a ride and none of this would be happening without your, our wonderful players.Do be sure to follow us on our socials for all future updates. ✨
