The Forever Winter

The Forever Winter is a co-op tactical survival horror shooter where you and your squad must fight to survive in the shadow of terrifying and gigantic war machines locked in an endless conflict. Scavenge and fight for another day in the shadow of gigantic war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. That thirteen-story railgun on the map that looks like it’s part of the skybox? It’s aimed at your face. Fun Dog Studios is based in Washington, DC and is made up of thirty experienced developers. They have decades of AAA experience under their belt and are currently developing the game exclusively for PC, and if the game is successful and the community response is overwhelmingly positive, it may be released on other platforms (consoles), a date that has yet to be announced.

Fun Dog Studios CEO and Creative Director Branford Miles Williams wrote in a press release: «We’ve come together to take us back to a time when teams were pushing boundaries, building new worlds, and experimenting with new mechanics that were both satisfying and rewarding. The Forever Winter is a love letter to a bygone era, challenging players with intense gameplay and offering a fresh take on tactical shooters. For us, it’s personal. After working on some of the most successful games of all time, we were eager to get back to experimenting with new ideas, new IPs, and new worlds.

The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter dynamic combat system: enemies have their own goals and plans, act in coordinated groups, and engage in large-scale battles and they will intelligently react to your actions. The battlefield you leave will not be the same one you return to. Use your wits, stealth, and expert aim to reach the extraction point. You’ll need to earn your rewards before you can take on a 40-foot-tall robot armed with tactical nukes. Ecological collapse, exacerbated by unbridled technological progress, has brought us here: a world choking on 40 years of industrial violence, ruthless mass murder by AI automatons, human-machine hybrids, and the dark truth about human nature.
