HELLSEED is a first-person horror adventure game set in Italy, 1980. You play as a detective investigating the mysterious disappearance of a colleague from a psychiatric hospital in the province of Turin. As you begin your investigation, you find yourself in the doctor’s house, where strange things begin to happen and a dark presence begins to haunt you. In the game, you must use your investigative skills to solve puzzles and uncover the truth behind the disappearance. To help you with your investigation, you have access to a well-structured inventory where you can collect and examine items found in the game. These items can be used to solve puzzles and progress through the game.

As you explore the game world, you will meet a variety of characters, including colleagues of the missing doctor, who will help you with your investigation. However, not all characters are friendly, some of them may have their own plans. The title draws inspiration from classic Italian horror cinema, creating a gripping atmosphere with plenty of jump scares to keep you on the edge of your seat. As you delve deeper into the mystery, you will uncover dark secrets and encounter unexpected twists. In addition to the single-player story mode, there are also action elements that add an extra spice to the gameplay.
