Game trailer: Skydances BEHEMOTH

Description
Skydances BEHEMOTH is best known for The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, one of the most popular games on the original PlayStation VR. Combining sticky combat with TWD’s usual dramatic twists and zombies, it felt like a proper VR game. Skydances BEHEMOTH is an action-adventure game that draws on the combat and physics of The Walking Dead games, but focuses more on combat and less on survival. Like Saints and Sinners, there’s still a crafting system, but it’s much simpler, furthering the action-adventure angle. I got to play a chunk of the game that combined early tutorials about controls and mechanics with more exciting cutscenes and exploration segments — and, of course, a fight with the beast itself.
Sean Kittelsen, vice president of Creative, says Behemoth has a more complex combat system. You’ll have to watch your enemies, counter-attack, and generally think more strategically than just swinging your weapon around in the virtual space. This will drain your stamina, and you won’t be able to dodge or block if you’re not careful. Even though the combat feels weighty, you can still swing your weapon and deal damage — limited by the fact that swinging the plastic PSVR controller turns into a massive four-pound sword. The stamina system helps to at least moderate this process a little.
Like SatC and recent Zelda games, you can climb the behemoth (if there’s a suitable surface texture to climb on). You can also use your grappling hook to launch yourself toward the Seal’s knee. You can’t just hang on, though — your stamina meter will drain the closer you get to the giant’s weak points. I tried to hit the beast with arrows, but inevitably dropped my bow rather than fire an arrow. It had to do with my skill, not the management system.
NOTE. Uploaded version: 4 June 2025 [Build 18684022]. This is the Full Release and the latest version of the game. The game is packaged as an ISO File and is ready to run after installation. Please refer to the instructions below. Due to the amount of changes to the game files and an update being greater than half the size of our last release, we decided to make a new standalone.
