Description
Anoxia Station is a unique action-strategy mining management game set in an alternate 1988 where a supervolcano has left the Earth’s surface uninhabitable. Players control a group of international terranaut miners tasked with extracting vital oil resources from the dangerous depths of the Earth to ensure humanity’s survival. The game features randomized maps where players must overcome extreme conditions including radiation, heat, and pressure while managing the survival and mental state of their crew. Death of each crew member is irreversible, and different nationalities from Soviet to American to Japanese create political tensions and hidden agendas that add another layer of complexity.
The game’s distinctive isometric art style showcases stunning underground environments such as crystalline caverns and magma lakes, while the atmospheric soundtrack combines industrial mining noises with unsettling ambient effects. With each successful extraction, you’ll get closer to a massive oil deposit that could save humanity, and you’ll have to balance resource extraction, crew survival, and interpersonal relationships in this tense underground expedition.
