The Lies We Tell Ourselves is an episodic first-person psychological action-adventure that blends introspection with horror. Gamers assume the role of Vincent Arnaud, a seemingly ordinary man whose 27th birthday sets off a chain of disturbing events. What begins as an ordinary day quickly turns into a bizarre and fragmented exploration of personality, memory, and perception. The narrative peels back the layers of Vincent’s carefully constructed reality, forcing players to confront the uncomfortable truths buried beneath the surface. At its core, The Lies We Tell Ourselves asks gamers to consider the stories they tell themselves and whether they hold up under scrutiny.
The title unfolds across an abstract, shifting landscape that reflects Vincent’s mental and emotional state, episodically, offering roughly two hours of gameplay per chapter.
