Hyper Empire

Hyper Empire is a 4X strategy game designed to be completed in 40 minutes or less. This single-player project combines state management, turn-based maneuvers, and auto-battles in short sessions on the edge of the galaxy. The gamer will lead one of five available factions, each with its own unique ships and features, against increasingly powerful opponents. The goal is to expand territory by colonizing planets and confronting competitors.

In Hyper Empire, every decision matters due to the compressed duration of the game. Gamers must carefully allocate limited resources to build infrastructure and assemble fleets to capture planets and defend them. The paths to victory are varied: you can achieve dominance through economic growth, technological advances, military campaigns, or simply outlast your opponents. This game contains elements of management, tactics, and military action, while the gamer charts his own course.

Clashes are fought using an auto-combat system, where battles are quickly resolved, although the player retains direct control over the flagship carrier’s weapons during such moments. Adjustments to combat tactics become necessary as conflicts escalate throughout the match. Additionally, random events introduce unpredictable factors, creating both favorable chances and serious difficulties for the chosen faction. Laying out trade routes promises potential profits, but also exposes transport fleets to the constant threat of pirate raids, which forces one to weigh the risks.
