Willow Guard

Willow Guard is a story-driven RPG from MiTale that combines action with deck-building and choice-based storytelling. You play as Gveros, a willow guardian investigating monster attacks in a remote village near the northern Hinterlands. The game features isometric combat, where you build a deck of specialized abilities to fight enemies in a pixel art environment. Between battles, you'll explore Voikos Village using an innovative hint-gathering system and interact with various characters through choice-based dialogue.

Character progression occurs through upgrading gear and abilities rather than traditional leveling, and an affinity system determines what kind of Willow guardian you become. The crafting system allows you to upgrade your gear and cards using materials gathered from monsters, dungeons, and quests, allowing you to customize your approach to combat in this original fantasy world filled with ascended beasts and ancient secrets.
