Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 is a mind-bending genre mashup from Strange Scaffold that intentionally serves as a sequel to a defunct game series. This self-contained matchroidvania combines match-3 puzzle mechanics with metroidvania exploration, RPG elements, survival horror parody, and comedy into one bizarre package. Players control Jack Briar in a game where puzzles solve everything from combat to lockpicking to robot debates. The narrative deftly explores the issues of game development, sequels, and the breakdown of reality, all set to a polka-inspired soundtrack by David Mason. Despite its casual, indie appearance, this game lives up to its meta concept—announced «8 years ago on the biggest stage in gaming, ” it lives up to its absurd premise with a fictional story and development history.
