ASURA THE STRIKER

ASURA THE STRIKER is a fast-paced retro-style 3D shooter created by indie developer LeftOver. Playing as ASURA, a humanoid with a combat weapon, you must destroy alien invaders from outer space. The game features three main combat mechanics: a rapid-fire energy blast, a powerful melee attack called the Shining Knuckle, and the lightning-fast Lightning Over Drive, which allows you to slow down time for a tactical advantage. Gameplay focuses on destroying swarms of aliens, fighting fearsome bosses, and strategically using your abilities. Controls are very simple: a stick/D-pad for movement and dedicated buttons for each combat action. The game was developed entirely by a two-person team, who handled everything from programming to sound design. Released on April 24, 2025, ASURA THE STRIKER aims to capture the nostalgia of classic arcade games from the 80s and 90s while still offering modern action gameplay.
