The events of the second part develop for us in the same world, on the planet E.D.N. III. After the events of the first part, the snow melted, the deserts became bare, and the pirates settled in the jungle that appeared. The main character destroys many pirates as part of Akrid G, and then learns that the main command did not intend to evacuate the personnel after the battle. In the third-person shooter Lost Planet 2  we dive into the same planet, but the plot and gameplay have undergone strong changes for the better. The scenario is tied to the same special group NEVEC. In Carpetbagger, a group of special landing forces crashes a train on which massive guns are installed.

About This Game

However, the detachment fails and Akrid G ​​appears again. The heroes destroy it and retreat to a safe place, and the plot shows us the same faces of the heroes, who are clones of Ivan Solotov. Events switch to snow pirates who raided Carpetbagger. Returning with heavy losses, the scenario shows that the group was intercepted by Category G Akrid, as well as sand raiders who used an armored train with massive guns. The pirates wanted to escape, loaded the helicopter with energy, but they were shot down by the pirates and left in the minority.

The plot has several logical connections, and we see events from several groups at once. The developers retained the extreme terrain, the fight with bosses, control of the character in the armored suit, and also added to the cooperative mode the ability for two players to cling to a third who controls the mech. Thermal energy is spent less, because the surrounding temperature is much higher, but thermal weapons still consume energy. Players in a group will be able to maintain energy levels by using new targeted weapons for protection. For each mission, points are now given depending on the success of the mission. These battle points can be spent on customizing suits. The multiplayer mode is not much different from Lost Planet, but now the appearance editor can completely change the entire character, and not just the torso and face.
