CRIXUS Life of free Gladiator

CRIXUS Life of free Gladiator is an action RPG that combines gladiator management and strategic combat in the ancient Roman city of Serenus. You manage a ludus (gladiator school), recruit fighters, manage their training, equipment and morale, preparing them for battles in the arena. The game combines several gameplay styles: you will manage resources by growing barley, wine and cattle, participate in strategic auto-combat tournaments with rival schools, and also fight in first person to become a gladiator yourself.

Your gladiators have survival indicators that affect their strength and endurance, and equipment deteriorates over time and affects their effectiveness in battles. The management system covers everything from training to maintaining ludus, and the character creator allows you to customize fighters to your liking. Combat includes both automated tournament battles, where you strategically manage your team, and direct first-person combat, where you control the course of events yourself.

The game features an inventory system, equipment shops, repair services, a market for equipment and recruits. Between battles, you can explore the streets of Ancient Rome, buying upgrades and soaking up the cultural atmosphere. Notable features include Latin dialogue for authenticity and a complex progression system, where victories bring prestige and rewards. With planned improvements to the ludus, CRIXUS offers a deep mix of management, strategy and combat in the brutal world of Roman gladiatorial games.
