Five Nights at Freddys Secret of the Mimic immerses players in the structure of Murray Suits Mansion, an abandoned workshop containing unanswered questions. Characters must explore its depths to uncover the secret left behind by Edwin Murray, the reclusive creator of the place. This location offers a space where every dark area can hide information or a secret passage, directly affecting the gameplay and understanding of past events. In addition, slight changes in light constantly indicate an active and omnipresent something watching every step.

The key enemy in this game, Five Nights at Freddys Secret of the Mimic, is the eponymous Mimic an experimental endoskeleton designed with outstanding adaptability. This mechanical creation is able to connect with any suit, which gives it the ability to transform into any character, including material embodiments of the person’s strongest fears. The player must rely on his wits, a small supply of gadgets and a greatly abbreviated service document that conceals details of the actions. The main task sets the gamer the goal of returning Fazbear’s valuable development, while dealing with encrypted hints and escaping from the persistent shadow, determined to get rid of all uninvited guests.
