Rekindled Trails is an adventure RPG developed by indie studio Kiwick, combining exploration, resource management, and puzzle mechanics in a mysterious fantasy world. You play as a soul bound to the Flame, tasked with bringing faith and light back to the dying world of Aurtheris, where villages have fallen into disrepair and their inhabitants have lost hope. The game features a variety of biomes: shady mines, enchanted forests, and desolate deserts, each harboring unique secrets and resources. Your journey revolves around gathering the necessary materials, using fishing rods, pickaxes, and gloves to gather the fish, minerals, and roots needed to progress. The tile-based inventory system adds a puzzle element, requiring strategic placement of items for maximum sales efficiency.

The core gameplay involves helping townspeople by delivering essential items, earning funds to purchase upgrades, and gradually rebuilding ruined villages. Each villager has their own story and contributes to the overall narrative of restoring the Flame’s influence across the land. Resource management is crucial as you balance exploration, trading, and rebuilding villages while working to open up new areas. The game emphasizes that while you may take your time exploring Aurtheris, the Flame that binds your soul compels you to urgently seek redemption and a second chance at existence.
