What Happened to Lily? is an indie adventure game from Montee Games that plunges you into a chilling mystery set in rural Kansas. You play as Michael Wolfe, a local journalist investigating the unexplained disappearance of the Miller family - Margaret, Edward, and their 11-year-old daughter Lily - from their isolated farmhouse near Coffeyville. There are no signs of a break-in or struggle in the case, which puzzles the authorities, but disturbing reports of a girl resembling Lily appearing in the area at night push Michael to get to the bottom of the truth.

The gameplay focuses on exploring the abandoned Miller farmhouse and the surrounding area in search of clues about what really happened to the family. You'll discover Lily's disturbing diary entries that blur the line between a child's cry for help and something far more sinister. The atmosphere is heightened by an eerie soundtrack with unexplained whispers, screams, and strange noises that seem to come from within the house itself.

The game tasks players with solving the mystery, questioning what is real and what is an illusion. Was Lily murdered, kidnapped, or something else entirely? As you investigate, the story unfolds through the environment and documents you find, revealing increasingly disturbing details about the Miller family's final days.
