Bean Beasts

Bean Beasts features a top-down battlefield where players must stop hordes of monsters by placing evolving creatures. These companions gain experience in battle, evolving through 3 separate stages and gaining additional attacks. Strategy is built around using each of the 10 unique beasts, each with their own special abilities and secondary combat methods. Players also build walls on the map, directing over 50 enemy types along them and creating specific routes for them.

In addition to creatures, Bean Beasts gameplay involves strategically placing 12 types of traps. Each offers 2 separate development paths, allowing players to specialize tactically against different threats. The system is complemented by 21 individual abilities, including the ability to summon five different creatures to the battlefield. Progression is directly tied to leveling up, with a new beast, trap, or upgrade unlocked upon completing each of the 40 main stages. Four difficulty levels adjust the intensity of encounters.

The campaign takes place across 5 different biomes and culminates in 8 special boss encounters that test your defensive builds. The game provides 8 endless mode maps to continue. The combat mechanics include a system of 2 variants and 5 damage elements, as well as 7 status effects that can change the state of enemies on the battlefield. In addition, physics and gravity are used to physically move and push enemies, adding another layer to the tactical framework.
