Tempest Tower

Tempest Tower is an innovative tower defense game from Half Past Yellow that breaks the conventions of the genre by adding player-controlled movement and combat to traditional base-building mechanics. Set in the alien world of Trip Space, you'll battle hordes of creatures called Creepers in two distinct gameplay phases: a construction phase for exploring and constructing buildings, and an action phase for intense combat and resource gathering.

The game places a strong emphasis on strategic positioning, as you can't defend everywhere at once, forcing you to carefully choose where to build your defenses and when to engage in combat yourself. Creative gadgets include Bug Blasters for ranged combat, trampolines for quick travel, manually triggered traps, and shield bubbles that reflect damage dealt to enemies.

Gameplay revolves around balancing defensive effectiveness with economic growth, and adapting environmental hazards into offensive weapons. Numerous difficulty modifiers and level challenges provide scalable difficulty for players looking to refine their strategies and achieve high scores through replayability and tactical refinement.
