The core loop revolves around looting and trading. Players must scavenge each level for resources, valuables, and gear, then bring their findings back to The Hub. This safe space, which is a seemingly infinite subterranean highway, contains Traders Keep, where you can sell valuable items to vendors and take on new contracts from a M.E.G. operative. The money and resources you collect are essential for crafting and buying better equipment, which allows you to withstand attacks and explore deeper levels.

Mikael Bihl has focused on creating an immersive experience, utilizing realistic graphics and proximity voice chat with dynamic reverb to heighten the tension. The environment is actively hostile; you must manage your Sanity by drinking Almond Water and conserve your Stamina to escape when inevitably chased.
