Cave Crave VR

Cave Crave VR is a realistic virtual reality caving simulator developed by 3R Games S.A. that immerses you in a real underground cave. The game features several modes, including a story mode where you play as Jake, who investigates the past of his famous caver father and descends into mysterious caves, and a horror mode where you'll face limited tools and real threats, not cheap jump scares. Additional modes include a contemplative tour mode with an actual audio guide to Nutty Putty Cave from rescuer Brandon Kowallis, and an upcoming arcade mode focused on speed running and checkpoint racing.

The gameplay emphasizes realistic free climbing on any surface, chalk trail markings instead of traditional maps, breath control in narrow passages, and extensive interaction with the environment rock, water, and destructible obstacles. You'll use tools like ice axes for climbing and hammers for clearing rubble, and you must maintain your gear by managing essential resources like headlamp battery life. The cave environments feature an irregular, natural layout designed to avoid repetitive patterns, creating an atmosphere without terrifying gimmicks. In future free updates, the breath control system will be expanded to include underwater cave diving sections. This is a comprehensive caving simulator that prioritizes true exploration, autonomy, and the tension of real caving challenges over artificial fears.
