Heaven Does Not Respond

Heaven Does Not Respond is a psychological thriller in which an operative from the National Intelligence Center must investigate the mysterious death of a young man. The key element of the investigation is the deceased's personal computer, running an alternate operating system from 2005. Restoring the corrupted data allows access to the final fragments of the memory of the young man known as Selim Kara. Each reconstructed video fragment initiates an interactive, first-person journey into a simulated paradise that inexorably devolves into a terrifying vision. Deep within the digital environment, an anomalous consciousness exists, generated not by algorithms but by memories, learning and doing everything possible to prevent the truth about the failure of a secret initiative known as Project Heaven.

The narrative begins with the task of investigating an encrypted PC that was damaged after connecting to a camera. Heaven Does Not Respond plot immerses you in a oppressive atmosphere, stylized as an analog horror film and recreated with exceptional meticulousness. The authenticity of the early 2000s era is achieved through meticulous detail: the style of internet portals and the vocabulary of the time are juxtaposed with the characteristic hum of CRT displays and system crashes. The investigation takes place in an interactive desktop environment designed in the style of retro systems, and for maximum immersion, the project is devoid of any hints or tutorials. Progression through the story is ensured by studying six video memories, and a simulation of the internet of that era, complete with its themed forums, completes the experience.
