Description
ANLIFE Motion-Learning Life Evolution is an evolutionary simulation game in which the player assumes the role of a creator, overseeing the development of virtual organisms. The game is based on a physics engine that controls the behavior of creatures composed of blocks. These life forms, guided by artificial intelligence, independently master locomotion from scratch, whether walking, swimming, or flying. The game lacks a complex ecosystem or storyline, focusing on the process of life's origin and adaptation. The lack of specific goals allows for relaxed observation as creatures strive to exist in the world created for them.
The primary incentive for development is the creatures' desire to reach a food source. The most adapted individuals, those who have mastered movement effectively, survive and pass on their characteristics to future generations. The evolutionary process in ANLIFE is not passive, as the player is provided with extensive tools for interfering with natural selection.
