Description
Aether and Iron is a tactical RPG adventure set in an alternate history 1930s New York City, where anti-gravity Aether technology underpins social stratification and skyscraper architecture. Developed by a team with experience working on games like Mass Effect and Far Cry, the game combines a gritty film noir atmosphere with strategic turn-based vehicular combat. Players assume the role of a smuggler, making their way through a city controlled by authoritarian barons, where narrative choices directly impact the fate of the metropolis and its inhabitants. You'll collect and customize a fleet of Aether-fueled vehicles, choosing between agile racers or heavily armored tanks equipped with flamethrowers and grenade launchers.
In addition to your garage, you'll recruit a diverse team of companions, each with a unique backstory and skills to aid you in dangerous encounters. The gameplay emphasizes a combination of social engineering and courage, requiring you to improve your Hustle, Smarts, and Brass stats to pass crucial dice rolls.
