Alaska Gold Fever

Alaska Gold Fever is a multi-genre indie game from Baked Games that transports you to the Alaskan Gold Rush of 1896 as a prospector seeking riches. You'll mine gold using historically inspired methods: breaking rocks, collecting ore, and processing gold dust, flakes, and nuggets into bars to sell at the bank. The game features nine mines to explore, ranging from small, quickly explored locations to massive multi-level operations. Each mine has a unique atmosphere and poses the constant threat of tunnel collapse if you don't properly fortify your workings. You can upgrade your tools with rare materials to increase their durability, mining speed, and ability to break tougher rock as you progress through the main story, complete side quests, discover hidden treasures, and meet memorable characters.

Survival mechanics require you to hunt wild animals for meat and fur, craft items in various workshops, cook food for work bonuses, and combat the brutal Alaskan cold with appropriate clothing and energy management. Beyond mining, you can build an economic empire by creating farms, hotels, and automated mines staffed with hired workers that generate passive income. The game combines elements of action, strategy, RPG-style progression, and simulation as you develop your business and explore the dangerous wilderness. Your journey from simple gold prospector to potential industrial magnate depends on clever resource management, strategic planning, and survival in the harsh conditions of 19th-century Alaska.
