Beast Saga

Beast Saga is a martial arts RPG developed by Jiaxing Obsidian that immerses you in a seamless open world where seven major factions vie for power. You'll explore this dynamic world of Jianghu, joining factions like the Celestial Palace of the Breaking Dao or the Wuzi Temple to master their unique fighting styles, or siding with secret organizations specializing in theft and assassination. The game features over 300 combat moves, which you can freely combine for your character and recruited companions. Depending on your story choices, up to 10 female characters both heroes and villains can join your cause. A true 24-hour day/night cycle and a dynamic weather system directly impact gameplay: shops close at night, but opportunities to pick locks and deal with the underworld emerge after dark.

Your decisions throughout nonlinear storylines impact your relationships with NPCs, change the fates of characters, and can trigger hidden quests or unlock secret treasures. Beyond combat, you'll interact with a deep system of life skills, including fishing, medicine, trading, cooking, and persuasion, which provide practical benefits, such as infiltrating locked buildings or gaining NPCs trust through dialogue. The village where you were born, destroyed in the prologue, can be gradually rebuilt, inviting homeless NPCs and retired martial artists to settle there, bringing life back to the ruins. Gathering resources is used to craft weapons, equipment, potions, and food, which will aid you as you navigate the faction storylines and combat the overarching conspiracy threatening the world of martial arts. The game emphasizes player freedom, allowing you to progress through content at your own pace without time limits, while your choices impact interconnected storylines.
