Becoming Captain The Roguelike Deckbuilder puts you in the role of a junior officer fighting to earn command of a starship through tactical card battles. Developed and published by Le Havre Création for release in 2026 this action strategy sci fi RPG game combines deckbuilding mechanics with roguelite progression. You start with a basic deck of crew commands navigation orders and engineering repairs. Each encounter, whether a hostile alien ship a nebula storm or a mutinous crew member, plays out through card based decisions. Victory allows you to add new cards upgrade existing ones or acquire powerful relics. Defeat sends you back to the start with only what you unlocked for future runs.

The latest version of the game introduces a branching campaign with three distinct ship paths, military science and exploration. Sci fi elements include alien technologies black hole events and distress signals. RPG progression tracks your reputation with different factions unlocking special cards and permanent bonuses.
