TetherGeist is a high-fidelity platformer from O. and Co. Games and Out of Space Games. In it, you play as Mei, a young mountain shaman whose innate spiritual journey compels her to undertake the traditional pilgrimage that marks her entry into adulthood on foot, rather than the usual astral projection. The game's core mechanics revolve around mastering Azae's seven unique abilities, which alter how your spiritual form interacts with the environment and require precise movement and timing throughout the journey. The game eschews typical action platformer elements like combat, power-ups, and skill trees, focusing solely on pure platforming challenges that become increasingly difficult as you unlock new abilities.

Exploration plays a vital role, rewarding inquisitive players who seek out hidden secrets, alternate routes, and treasures scattered throughout the world. Frequent checkpoints balance the difficulty, allowing you to learn from mistakes without excessive punishment. The story explores themes of community, acceptance of differences, and growing up as Mae overcomes her physical limitations in a society built around abilities she lacks.
