Coincidences is a slow-burn psychological horror game about everyday hopelessness, loneliness, and the feeling of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It all begins with a simple problem: short on money, the landlord raising the rent, forcing you to look for cheap accommodation and settle for a house near the forest that no one really wants to rent. At first, the new place seems simply dreary and uninviting, but the longer you live there and work in the local store, the more you feel as if the entire neighborhood is deliberately trying to push you back. The house and the forest begin to weigh on you more than any monsters. The game makes little attempt to scare you directly. Instead, it slowly builds through atmosphere: long, quiet corridors, empty rooms, sounds behind the walls, strange behavior, and the feeling that you're gradually losing touch with normal reality.

Some moments abruptly change pace and transition into more active scenes that require you to react quickly to what's happening, but the main tension is built on anticipation and constant discomfort. The first-person perspective works particularly well. Simple actions like returning home in the evening or walking through the forest begin to feel unsettling in their own right, without cheap jump scares and constant attacks. The further the story progresses, the more the game makes you question whether everything that happens is truly a coincidence or whether the protagonist has been part of something much stranger and more dangerous from the start.
