As the leader of a small faction, you lead your disciples through a vast open world offering endless opportunities for development and conflict. By recruiting disciples, each with their own abilities and backstory, the title gives players the ability to control the development of their group. This blend of role playing and simulation allows gamers to spend hours immersed in the world, exploring the world and strengthening their faction.

Time in From Jianghu moves in real time, meaning the world around you is constantly changing, with new events and challenges constantly arising to respond to. Throughout the day, you'll encounter random quests, whether completing government assignments or uncovering rumors that could reveal hidden truths. The title doesn't spoon-feed you; it encourages you to keep your eyes open, think ahead, and manage your resources carefully if you want to prosper.

Combat is fast-paced and turn-based, relying heavily on martial arts techniques and tactical decision-making. You can engage in some pretty intense battles, testing your skills and ability to anticipate enemy moves. As your faction grows, you'll need to ensure it's well-equipped, unlocking and forging weapons to keep your people safe.
