Machinefall

Machinefall is a post apocalyptic real time strategy in which you have to lead the surviving representatives of humanity in the fight against the invasion of mechanical insects that have devastated the Earth. In this game, developed by Jan Žižka, you find yourself in a ruined world with a handful of people and must rebuild civilization from scratch, fighting off relentless swarms of machines. The main feature of the game is its grandiose scale: you can change the scale from an orbital view of the entire planet to individual street-level encounters, simultaneously controlling thousands of units in chaotic large scale battles.

Building bases and managing resources make up the main game cycle: you have to turn small settlements into growing industrial networks, extract resources and process them to support military operations. The progression system spans several technological eras, from primitive Stone Age tools to Space Age technologies, with each era unlocking access to new units, buildings, and strategic capabilities. Combat requires a balance between micro-level unit management during intense firefights and macro level strategic planning on the global map.

The technological tree provides a wide range of options for adjusting to your style of play, be it aggressive expansion, defensive fortifications, or economic dominance. Battles are a real spectacle: thousands of units collide simultaneously, creating swarms of enemies that test both your tactical decisions and strategic training. This combination of planetary-scale strategy, depth of base building and large-scale real-time battles creates a unique experience for fans of grandiose RTS games. Machinefall challenges you to conquer Earth one territory at a time in humanity's desperate struggle for survival.
