When it comes to games for virtual reality, one problem often arises: developers try to add everything there at once. The plot, puzzles, shooting, conversations, exploration of large territories. Raikiri went a completely different path. In the game JUST ONE MAN, which was released in 2026, they bet on one single thing, but made it work one hundred percent. This is pure action. You are one against everyone, you have a cold weapon in your hands, and you need to survive at any cost.

This is not the kind of game in which you will walk for a long time through empty corridors and look for notes or listen to long boring dialogues. The genre here determines absolutely everything. This is a real slasher, and since it is made specifically for virtual reality, this means that you will have to physically wave your arms, dodge blows and constantly move around the room. If you ever thought that games are an activity only for those who like to sit on the couch, JUST ONE MAN will very quickly prove you otherwise. After twenty or thirty minutes of active combat, you will feel how your body works and how much you really are tired.

The combat system here is built on a sense of space. You can’t just mindlessly press the attack button, as is the case in regular games on a monitor. Your every move matters. Enemies don’t stand still and don’t wait for you to deal with them. They attack from different sides, and you have to turn your head in all directions to control the situation. The player literally feels every blow that is dealt, which makes each victory truly your personal achievement.

Raikiri Studio released the game independently, and it is noticeable. There is no feeling that the project was made to please large corporations. Everything is focused on emotions and adrenaline. The graphics here do not try to be too complicated, they are made so that the system works stably and produces a high frame rate, which is very important for headsets.
If you want to relieve stress after a hard day and you do not mind working hard physically, this game will give you what you are looking for. There is nothing superfluous here. Just you, your speed and a crowd of opponents who want to check how well you can defend yourself.
