GRAIN ROT

In GRAIN ROT, death is not the end; it is a change of scenery. The cooperative horror game from Beck & Branch Games, published by Neem Interactive, casts players as Living Sparks riding fragile wooden vessels into shifting underground ruins, where everything wants the light inside you.

The core idea is as strange as it is fun. You inhabit a wooden body that splinters, collapses and burns. When it breaks, your Spark floats free, and the run goes on. As a ghost of light you guide your crew through the dark, hunt for a new host with a fresh set of abilities, and force your way back before you fade out for good.

Each descent starts with a cursed elevator and ends with a choice: extract with the loot or leave someone behind. Between those points the crew smashes furniture for resources, feeds the Grinder for gold and fights through corridors where Corrupted vessels react to sound, movement and each other. The deeper the team goes, the worse the Rot becomes.

This is extraction horror with physics driven chaos, and your friends are half the danger. Dropkicking enemies feels great until someone launches your Spark into a monster corridor on purpose by accident. Trolling is part of the design, and every session turns into a story of betrayals, rescues and one more greedy push downward.

Everything you haul back rebuilds the Outpost. New furniture, stat upgrades and rescued survivors open new ways to survive the next descent, so progress is always visible and always worth the risk. The stronger the camp becomes, the deeper you can afford to go.

GRAIN ROT suits co-op groups that want their horror loud, messy and a little bit mean. Build together, panic together, and remember: if everyone breaks, the loot stays in the dark. The elevator always has room for one more run.
