Description
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is a new chapter of the legendary series from Capcom, transporting you to Kyoto of the Edo period, shrouded in eerie clouds of Malice. A dark fantasy story, bloody battles, and the hunt for Genma demons await, and the path of the sword begins here.
Miyamoto Musashi: the path of the samurai
A fiery young samurai arrives in Kyoto to prove that he has no equal on the path of the sword, but an unexpected turn of events changes everything. His whole life is a chain of bloody and harsh battles, and the image of the hero is based on the appearance and mannerisms of the legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune. In brutal battles, Musashi searches for his reason to continue fighting — what awaits him at the end of the path?
The Oni Gauntlet — a mystical artifact — grants Musashi superhuman strength for the destruction of Genma. It allows him to absorb the souls of demons and extract even greater power from them. But whose voice rings out from the gauntlet? Usually, Genma dwell in the depths of the underworld, but the Malice that has shrouded Kyoto has brought them into the world of the living, and the endless atrocities of the demons have plunged the capital into fear and panic.
The setting
The game takes place in Kyoto, where a great many shrines and temples such as the Kiyomizu-dera temple are located. The capital, distorted by Malice, takes on a dark, eerie appearance, and in battles against the Genma, Musashi will face powerful opponents whose combat skill is no less than his own. Bloody battles to the death await him in the capital — what lies ahead: victory or defeat?
