Monkey King Hero Is Back — the Game is a slasher for the movie of the same name developed by Hexa Drive. The game is based on the original story of the film of the same name. Thus, the main character of the game is the King of the Apes, who was imprisoned by the gods in an ice cage, where he spent five hundred long years. Geros freed a little boy who fled to the mountains from the monsters that attacked his hometown. Since then, the legendary warrior has no choice but to thank his child for his salvation and protect the settlement from aggressive creatures. It is worth noting that the developers enriched the story told in the film with completely new topics. The whole game is inspired by Wandering West, Wu Chengen’s classic Chinese novel.

About This Game

In Monkey King Hero Is Back, we control two characters, Monkey King and Jiang Lieur, known for the film. During the game, we explore various locations (we talk not only about places known from the film, but also about completely new locations) and fight with our opponents. The battles take place in real time, and during the battles we use the various fighting skills of the protagonist, combining his attacks in impressive combinations. Giant bosses deserve special attention, with which the battles are particularly impressive — the main character can climb the giant bodies of opponents, which takes the battle to a whole new level, especially compared to battles with serial opponents.
