Generation Streets — probably everyone wanted to upload their hometown to their favorite game and run along familiar streets. Soon you will have such an opportunity. Meet Generation Streets, a game based on OpenStreetMap. The gameplay is that we take a map, select any point on the planet, turn houses into three-dimensional, pull textures, arrange trees, street lamps, power transmission towers and other visual moments. The game will have built-in tools for exporting the generated 3D models to any formats, which means that craftsmen will have the opportunity to create mods for other games by loading a real world map into them.

About This Game

Many settlements in OpenStreetMap are drawn in sufficient detail, geodata is almost never enough to draw objects the way they are in real life. In buildings, very often neither the height, nor the number of floors, nor the type of building (residential, industrial, some other), nor even the color and decoration material, are indicated. The engine has to literally guess all these parameters, or simply choose randomly. Therefore, downloading your city and finding your home, you do not have to wait for one hundred percent coincidence. It will be similar and recognizable, but no more. Not to mention the fact that some settlements may not be drawn at all.
