Pode

Pode — is a cute adventure action platformer game with an isometric view of the camera and many interesting cooperative puzzles. The game tells the story of a small rock helping a fallen star find his way home. They have to go on an intense adventure in which they visit the ancient mysterious ruins, magical mountain and dangerous jungle. Created by a small indie studio from Bergen with the support of the Norwegian Film Institute, the project tells the story of the friendship of a pebble and a fallen star.

About This Game

To return the star to the sky, the heroes need to explore the dark labyrinths and inner voids, which are represented by a series of rooms and caves with riddles. Using the abilities of a star, you remove mucus from a dull environment and animate green plants and flowers. Succulent leaves and huge ferns not only act as pretty decorations, but also create platforms and bridges, helping to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles.

Light also allows ice to melt and wall paintings to open that may obscure solutions to riddles. In addition, the asterisk is able to levitate in fact to jump further. In turn, a pebble accelerates the growth of crystals and stalactites, can pass into narrow mines and pull pieces of rock that are used as keys and loads. In the latter case, this allows you to solve puzzles with buttons on the floor. Another pebble can be grabbed by objects, including an asterisk, and throw them far ahead, throwing them to the other side of the cliff or focusing light from a partner at a certain point.

Heroes also jump on top of each other, forming a pyramid, which helps to climb especially high ledges. Pode is focused on cooperative passage, but it is very convenient to play it alone, quickly switching between characters and their abilities at the touch of a button. Therefore, you can easily go through it yourself.

Good three-dimensional graphics and atmospheric music from the composer Journey, Abzu and The Banner Saga have a positive effect on engagement, allowing you to easily solve puzzles in the evening before going to bed. Unfortunately, with all the positive qualities, there are obvious flaws in Pode. The camera in the game can move so far that in the portable mode you can hardly see the necessary objects, interactive areas and heroes. When playing on TV, there is no such problem.
