Totally Normal Journey

Totally Normal Journey — the first game in its genre, which combines the feeling of old cartoons, the gameplay of interactive fiction, aspects of music movies and a unique sense of humor is a strange combination that is sure to get your attention. Our animation is very special because we turn real episodes shot on a green screen into a kind of surreal cartoon. Each character is drawn by hand, digitized and painted on a computer. The background is based on real images, which are then drawn without depth or bright colors to highlight the character.

The result is really pleasing! We worked hard to make it look its best, we had to limit the number of character movements so that the program we used to increase the frame rate did not make too many artifacts. The musical aspect is something we are really proud of. We contacted 9 artists to write 12 original songs that would match the feelings of the game, from a year to romantic songs. The game has everything. Each of them required a lot of work from brainstorming to actual implementation. We made sure they were good, but added enough special touches to make them feel truly unique like no other game.
