Description

In pc game Widelands, you act as the ruler of a clan’s tribe. At the start of the game, you only have the headquarters where the resources are stored. During the game, you build new buildings, extract resources, train your army and develop your clan. There are three types of tribes available: Barbarians, Empire and Atlanteans. The resources are wood, food, iron, gold and others. Each tribe has its own types of buildings and units, differing in appearance and cost. Similar buildings for different tribes can also differ in cost.

About This Game

During the game, you can fight or make alliances with other clans. You can trade with friendly clans. To extract and deliver resources, it is necessary to develop a network of roads. All collected and processed resources are delivered by road. Therefore, the more efficiently the roadways are built, the faster the delivery of resources will be. The game developers took inspiration from the Settlers 2 strategy and drew ideas and some concepts from there, but the Widelands game turned out to be much more diverse.

  1. No installation is needed — this release is fully pre-installed and ready to play, so you can skip setup wizards and long updates entirely.

  2. Extract the archive (RAR/ZIP) to a short, Latin-only path like C:\Games\GameName using WinRAR or 7-Zip — and never launch the game from inside the archive, as that is the top cause of launch failures.

  3. Launch the game via Run Me!.bat (or the main .exe file) in the game folder. If nothing happens, right-click it and choose Run as administrator.
