Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition Knights of the Mediterranean — the Knights of the Mediterranean brings a lot of new content, including the addition of the Italian and Maltese civilizations, a completely new friendly Tycoon game mode, and the first-ever set of historical maps featuring endless play with historical twists. Defend the Mediterranean from invasions with unique fortifications, wear shiny armor to repel attacks, and fire at enemies from afar with fixed guns. Flamethrowers and large swords win battles.
Fortunately, you can have both. Fighting at sea with the Orders Galleries can dampen gunpowder, but your Arbalesters won’t mind. You can always replenish the powder warehouse or blow it up when the enemy army passes by. Unite rich trading republics, duchies and papal states as new settlers flock to your prosperous empire with each technological breakthrough, and use architects to build buildings for free. Invest in Lombard to optimize your economy and make a quick profit, or build a tall basilica and send papal soldiers to strengthen and replenish your army. Use the protected pawns to lure your opponents into the ambush of Bersalieri, or let Elmett drop his spears and carry on a day of thunder.
