Description

The Guild 1 Remake Europa 1410 is based on a unique gameplay built on the three whales: business, family and politics. This is not just a game about the Middle Ages, but a deep strategy of indirect management from a bird's eye view, where you manage affairs through detailed menus, tables and an interface, just like in global strategies. The gameplay unfolds in several main directions: Medieval Business and Crafts: You start with one small workshop.

At the start, 8 basic professions are available: blacksmith, tailor, carpenter, mason, priest, innkeeper, alchemist and perfumer. You must independently purchase raw materials from the market at favorable prices, hire workers, control the production of goods and send carts for sale. In future updates, the developers also promise to add a criminal path with robbers, thieves and ambushes. Dynasty development and inheritance: The character you start with is mortal, so it is critical to find a mate, play a wedding and have children during his life. The heirs need to be educated and trained in the trade so that after the death of the head of the family, they will take over the family business. If you don't have any direct descendants left, it's game over.

Court system and dirty intrigue: The politics in the game are brutal. You can nominate your candidacy for public positions in the town hall. Players use bribery, blackmail, and espionage to advance their rivals. You can even take your opponent to a medieval court by fabricating evidence, or vice versa get a high position and personally change the city's laws, taxes and manage the construction of new city walls for your own benefit.

The game takes place on detailed maps of six European cities, including Nuremberg, Wroclaw, Graz, Kuttenberg and Freiburg. Developers from the company Ashborne Games created a project for those who missed the hardcore economy of the original game in 2002, completely abandoning the style of the second and third parts of the series. In addition to the single-player campaign, the game supports massive multiplayer, in which up to 12 real players can simultaneously compete for power in the same city.

Early Access for Europa 1410 Now Available

Build 25368113

Hear ye, hear ye!

The big day has arrived - The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 is now available in Early Access! With our Early Access release, we are also updating the demo so that you can try it out before purchasing Europa 1410. Please do not load any previously made saves for the demo - they will not be compatible with the latest demo version. We highly recommend starting a fresh new save for the best experience. We have put the old version of the demo on a separate Steam branch: demo_0.3.0, so you can finish your current playthrough before switching to the new version of the demo.

After giving the demo a go, you can purchase The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 in Early Access for EUR/USD 19.79 for the first two weeks, saving 34% - after which it will be EUR/USD 29.99.

What can you expect in the game?

With our EA release, a very noticeable change is how you start building your character to shape your dynasty. Aside from choosing your profession, you can choose from a list of names and surnames as you see fit, as well as dynasty backstories, which can influence various stats of your character and heirs - even giving you the chance to get a leg up depending on your profession and backstory of choice. You can also choose what crest will represent your dynasty, and your portrait for your first character.

During Early Access, we will of course add more customization options with more control over your dynasty’s crest and your name.

In terms of gameplay and immersion, you can now enjoy dioramas for different actions and events, such as courting, the travelling preacher, the travelling bard, and more.

Head to the Soulmate Fair to find the perfect match. What are you looking for in a partner? Riches? Good health?

Woo your chosen partner by clicking on their character. Choose between sending a gift or sweet-talking to progress towards betrothal!

Based on community feedback, we have also moved many actions from menus into buildings, where you can interact with objects and characters to trigger the same actions.

You may now also assign a member of your dynasty as the Master of your business - but make sure that they are properly trained in the craft to ensure that they are competent! Please note that this is a first iteration of this feature. We will give you more automation controls and improve the masters' behaviour throughout Early Access.

Economy also got its first big update with our Early Access release: prices for all items now properly depend on supply and demand, the current season, your skills, as well as your building’s improvements. As this also opens new opportunities for development, we will now start to add special effects to certain events to further impact the economy and your gameplay experience.

The price breakdown tells you exactly where you get the most for your items.

This is just the beginning of our journey to 1.0 - we have many more things up our sleeve, and we hope you are looking forward to what’s coming based on our roadmap. We’re looking forward to your feedback and thoughts on Europa 1410!

In case you experience any issues or encounter any bugs, we would appreciate it if you could report them using the following link: https://bugreporting.thqnordic.com/#/projects/197/the-guild-europa-1410/add-issue

The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 update for 24 August 2026

Build 24884644

The Guild - Europa 1410: Demo Update #1

Hear ye, hear ye!

We bring an update to the demo of The Guild - Europa 1410, with additions and fixes alike.

The most notable addition is a new map named Herle, part of the duchy of Brabant. In 1410, Herle was a fortified church; today it is part of the Dutch city of Heerlen. Herle is a small and cozy settlement, and it serves as a tutorial map to help onboard new players, together with tutorial goals to guide newcomers to The Guild.

A birds-eye view of Herle

In addition to this new map, the most important additions of this update are:

Tutorial tasks

If you play the game on our new tutorial map of Herle, you will get small tasks that make it easier for you to find your bearings and get a good understanding of the game. Herle is a small map, designed to keep you focused on the essentials of the game.

A new filtering system for highlighting buildings

You can now select what is highlighted by the building overlay and choose to filter by your buildings, all profession buildings, all city-owned or private structures, residences or resource sites such as mines or woodland areas.

New and tweaked animations to reflect the activities of workers

Workers are now visibly working on their tasks, and every task has been assigned a set of animations.

This is a first iteration; we will continue to improve and add more animations for tasks and activities in future updates.

We wanted to address the most-mentioned feedback from the community so far with this update, so we focused on adding an improved onboarding experience with Herle, building outlines and highlight tweaks to be less meddlesome, as well as a new system for animations to reflect worker activities.

We're excited for you to jump into our demo update! Give it a try here: https://thqn.net/tge-demo-steam

In case you experience any issues or encounter any bugs, we would appreciate it if you could report them using the following link: https://bugreporting.thqnordic.com/#/projects/197/the-guild-europa-1410/add-issue
