Death or Treat

Death or Treat is an interesting hybrid of a 2D slasher and a simplistic action roguelike with procedural generation of some objects in a well-developed universe. The disappearance of the spirit of Halloween seriously alarmed all the inhabitants of Hollow Town, because it meant only one thing: there would be no holiday for which they had been preparing for a whole year! Panic grew and therefore the founder of the Facebook company began to distribute a special drug that made the townspeople forget about the terrible holiday and lose all hope. It seems that you are the only one in the whole metropolis who managed to keep faith in a miracle, so there is no time to waste a second.

About This Game

Embark on a grand journey through picturesque locations in an attempt to find the lost spirit and return it to its rightful place, but get ready to uncover the terrible details of what is happening and identify the perpetrators of such a heinous crime. The project is based on a carefully crafted combat system, which is the main feature of the entire game. The developers were inspired by souls-like games and borrowed a lot from them in Death or Treat. For example, you have to take each enemy especially seriously, regardless of the mob or boss in front of you. Each opponent is dangerous and will easily bring down all his wrath on you. Carefully study their behavior on the battlefield and look for weaknesses in order to strike a crushing blow at the right points.

There are three types of weapons in the game: heavy, long-range and fast. Depending on their preferences, the player will form a unique playing style, and will also be able to hone their skills in numerous battles. Earn experience points to further upgrade both the hero and his ammunition, because the difficulty level will gradually increase, throwing up more and more difficulties. With all the fights, don’t forget to explore the colorful locations. All of them were worked out by hand, but the treasures on it are generated randomly, which makes it impossible to predict in advance what artifacts await you in one place or another. Look for hidden passages and hidden treasures, because they will become the source of rare weapons and special items with passive skills.
