RoboDunk combines elements of basketball, combat and roguelite in a futuristic setting. The project features cool robots, throws from heights, successful moves and explosive weapons. There are single-player and cooperative campaigns in which the user can buy cyborgs, improve their characteristics and unlock many new skills. There is also a versus four format in which each match is different from the other. The campaign mode is based on a roguelite structure, where the gamer can choose their path through randomized matches with unique rewards, rules, traps and enemies. In addition, the user can collect items that reveal the history of the world and explain why dunking is the meaning of life. After each victory, robots increase their level, gaining skills and stat increases.
In addition, the user can access a huge tree of abilities and unlock new cyborgs with their own tree of improvements. The Against Everyone format is based on the fast and chaotic gameplay of dunkball, in which the user can use powerful weapons and dangerous stages to score points and defeat the opponent. The user can also select temporary abilities and upgrades that change the game each round, such as double jumps, shock passes, ammo multipliers, etc. Throwing is especially fun, as gamers can charge up a jump with maximum power, jump out from mid-range, and press a button at the right moment to explode the hoop.
