Faint Call is a psychological horror game that puts players in the shoes of a police officer investigating a distress call from a haunted house. Developed by KY XE on Unreal Engine 5, the indie game is a chilling mix of horror and walking simulator genres. The game’s plot revolves around a suburban house with a dark history of brutal murders and unexplained phenomena, creating an atmosphere of tension and mystery. Players will experience the game through a unique VHS-style visual aesthetic, with noises, glitches.
Gameplay mechanics involve solving puzzles, collecting items, and overcoming dangers while exploring the house. Sound design, including situational effects such as thunder and footsteps, further enhances the atmosphere of horror.
