Altarium

Altarium is an asymmetrical first-person PVP co-op horror game for one to five players. The title offers dual perspectives, with players able to assume the role of either the victim or the evil character. This choice sets the stage for a unique blend of horror and strategy, with players either cooperating to evade or strategizing to hunt. Each match plays out differently, so each session brings new challenges, keeping players on their toes. In Altarium, hunters must use their wits and the resources at their disposal to navigate a landscape filled with threats, while the evil character uses a variety of tactics and tools to hunt down and eliminate their target.

This dynamic creates a rich interplay between cooperation and competition, with effective communication between team members essential to the game’s success. Gamers must constantly re-evaluate their strategies based on the actions of both allies and enemies, creating an environment where quick thinking and adaptability are critical. The environment plays a major role in shaping the user experience. Each location is carefully designed to create certain challenges and dangers. As gamers move through the locations, they encounter obstacles that require careful navigation and decision making. The dark and creepy atmosphere contributes to the overall sense of tension.
