Hostile Takeover

Hostile Takeover is a fusion of indie, RPG and strategy from Whispering Spider Games. You control a small team of specialized cybernetically enhanced contractors hired to carry out corporate espionage missions. The game’s combat system is based on cards representing character abilities, with each card costing energy but also generating energy when discarded, creating interesting tactical decisions about resource allocation. Characters belong to unique classes with specialized card decks and play styles: some rely on shields for protection, while others use stealth tactics.

Throughout the procedurally generated levels, you’ll unlock cybernetic upgrades that constantly change the characters' capabilities, allowing for powerful synergies. The game combines handcrafted encounters with random elements to keep things fresh, and also includes non-combat elements such as events, character progression, and black market shops as you infiltrate various corporations.
