Bonds of Yachiyo

Bonds of Yachiyo is a Japanese horror game that follows Chiyo and Akari, two university students. As the two friends prepare to leave class, an earthquake occurs, the ground beneath them opens up, and they fall into darkness. Chiyo awakens alone to find her university radically transformed into an unfamiliar reality. The place is now filled with demonic influences and dangers, prompting Chiyo to search for Akari and uncover the cause of their world’s transformation.

The gameplay in Bonds of Yachiyo involves navigating this altered environment, confronting spirits and other threats, labeled in the title’s context as a psychological horror game for mature audiences. The player guides Chiyo through locations that require constant vigilance against hidden entities. Situational awareness dictates the need to evade threats through stealth, cover, or outright flight when required.

Progression involves interacting with the environment, including finding items, solving puzzles, and avoiding traps, as well as exploring with nudity and adult content. The game includes mechanics that allow you to switch control to another character to overcome specific obstacles. Gamers are given tools to customize their interactions with challenges and themes. The intensity level of specific horror events can be adjusted at any time.
